Linear parameter-varying systems
Modern control engineering has produced powerful analysis and synthesis tools for control of linear time-invariant systems, based on minimizing the H_2 and H_\infty norm of suitable closed-loop transfer functions. The framework of linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems makes it possible to extend these techniques to time-varying and nonlinear systems. Research at the ICS aims at turning existing and new theoretical results in this area into practical tools for modeling and control. Issues being addressed are
- Complexity of LPV control systems
- System identification of LPV models
- Analysis and synthesis of LPV systems based on input-output models
- Interconnected LPV sytems
