Mr. Theodor Wassiliou
I obtained my BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering in Athens and my MSc degree in Mechatronics at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) with a focus on control and biomechanics. I worked for several years as a research assistant at the Institute of Reliability Engineering at TUHH and Tutech Innovation GmbH, where I was involved in the teaching and laboratories of mechanics, mechatronics and robotics, and in several industrial projects related to biomechanics, vibration analysis, acoustics and reliability testing.
Since January 2021, I have been working as the technical director of the Institute of Geo-Hydroinformatics at the Hamburg University of Technology. My main tasks include the development and investigation of novel techniques and tools for the operation of the research and teaching laboratories, the maintenance, support and acquisition of laboratory equipment and IT infrastructure, as well as the design and further development of customised experimental stations and sensor technologies for laboratory and field measurements and cooperation with external partners on a variety of topics related to water, soil, energy and climate.
