Mr. Sankeerth Govindaiah Narayanaswamy
I am a Master student in Environmental Engineering at TUHH with a focus on water. My academic background is in Civil Engineering, which I studied at RVCE, Bengaluru. I graduated with a B.E. degree in 2018. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a passion for hydrological modelling, environmental engineering, remote sensing and GIS. These topics motivated me to pursue higher education and research in the field of water resources management.
Currently, I am working on my master thesis at the Institute of Geo-Hydroinformatics at TUHH. My project aims to develop a remote sensing algorithm/approach to identify small agricultural reservoirs and quantify evaporative losses from them. This project will contribute to the understanding of water balance and availability in these regions, which are facing water scarcity and climate change challenges.
