Mr. Edgar Botero Campabadal
I graduated in 2021 with a double major of Environmental Sciences and Earth Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), during which I spent two semesters as an Erasmus exchange student at the University of Potsdam. Both of my undergraduate theses were related to the application of technology to answer research questions. My Earth Sciences thesis was about the characterization of a lacustrine carbonate succession through a multi-proxy analysis of samples. My Environmental Sciences thesis, on the other hand, was related to the application of radon for the assessment of groundwater discharge in a river.
Currently, I am doing my MSc study on Environmental Engineering in Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH) with a focus on water management engineering. My interest in the application of technology to assess and solve sustainability problems led me to my current master thesis topic, which is about application of machine learning techniques to better understand the impact of drought events on soil health.
