When the information could be located we have tried to include the following:

For individuals: name, dates, address (not given here for privacy reasons), central work locations, brief information on the contributions of the individual, and information on the location of his or her personal/professional papers. (If the individual was living and had not made a decision on the deposit of his or her papers, an effort was made to encourage deposit in some appropriate depository.)

For organizations: name or the organization, active dates, address, names of persons from the pioneers list who were involved with the organization, brief description of central contributions/activities of the organization to information science, locations of any archival papers of the organization.

Links have been provided within the web pages to and from individuals and organizations mentioned.
