This project should be a completion to the Pioneers of Information Science in North America project of SIG/HFIS (History and Foundations of Information Science). It is a provisonal result of the activities of Thomas Hapke as a corresponding member of the Advisory Board for the Second Conference on the History and Heritage of Scientific and Technical Information Systems
The purposes of this project are:
1) to identify pioneering individuals and organizations significant to the development of Information Science in Germany during the period 1900 - 1990
2) to compile information on the types and locations of personal papers and archival records related to these individuals and organizations
